At Yorkies SA, we understand that bringing home your new puppy is an exciting moment. Many of our families live far away, so we offer safe and reliable delivery options to ensure your Yorkie arrives healthy, comfortable, and stress-free.

🐾 Road Delivery

Whenever possible, we prefer to deliver puppies by road.

• Puppies are transported in a secure, ventilated crate designed for their comfort and safety.
• The crate prevents unnecessary movement, keeping your puppy calm during the journey.
• Most puppies settle quickly and sleep through the trip, arriving happy and relaxed.

Road delivery is available to most major cities, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Bloemfontein, North west.

✈️ Air Delivery

For destinations not easily reached by road, we arrange air transport.

• Each puppy travels in a special airline-approved crate, which we provide and is yours to keep.
• The crate design keeps your puppy secure and minimises exposure to handling or environmental stress.
• Puppies are usually placed in the pet cargo hold, which is temperature-controlled and safe for animals.
• In our experience, puppies travel very well by air and often arrive calm and rested.

🧸 How Puppies Cope with Travel

Puppies are naturally adaptable. With the right preparation, most travel without fuss and settle quickly once they arrive. However, travel is still a new experience and may cause mild stress.

• A puppy may be slightly restless, sleepy, or even skip a meal after travel.
• These effects are temporary and usually pass within a day as your puppy adjusts to their new home.

🛁 After Receiving Your Puppy

When your puppy arrives:

• Offer a chance to settle in a quiet, warm space.
• Fresh water should be available immediately.
• Please offer food (soft or wet food (Royal canin sachets).
• Puppies may smell a little from the journey — it is safe to give your puppy a gentle bath once you’re home, using puppy-safe shampoo and lukewarm water.
• After a bath, dry thoroughly and keep your puppy warm.
